Au pair in China
Introduction
Come to China and live with a Chinese family for 3 to 12 months! Care for children including: accompany to school, prepare meals, play games and activities, bedtime routines, bathing, practice English language with children, homework and
light household duties, etc. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience Chinese life and customs. Become part of a Chinese host family and share your culture and customs. With thousands of years of history and development shaping modern China, there is plenty to discover in the country. From idyllic scenery, abandoned palaces and active temples to modern cities with bustling entertainment industries and nightlife, China cannot be easily summarized. The best way to find out about the culture and learn the language of this vast country is to visit and become fully immersed in an area that interests you.
Childcare Au Pair Highlights:
- Work 25 hours a week, receive a minimum monthly stipend of 750RMB
- Free Chinese language lessons throughout duration of stay
- Receive 1 ½ days off per week, one weekend off per month, 3 days paid vacation every 3 months

Who may apply:
- You must be between 18-29 years of age
- Be fluent in English without strong accent (preferably native English speaker)
- Complete standard an pair application which includes the following steps:
- Provide copy of passport info page
- One(1) personal picture self
- A “dear family letter” with a minimum of 600 words (we can provide content suggestions)
- Two(2) written references complete with telephone numbers (include one non-family character reference and one non-family childcare reference)
- Complete a physician’s exam and have all the necessary vaccines (form provided on request)

- Clear criminal background check
- Photos (i.e. friends, family, children you have cared for)
