Becoming a Language Assistant in a Spanish school is a unique experience that your will never forget. As well as improving your language skills, exploring a different culture, learning Spanish and living a multicultural experience, you will build your sense of independence and you will gain valuable skills and experience for the future. The goal of this cultural exchange is that, while out of the school, Language Assistants will spend half of their time interacting in English with the host family and the other half interacting in Spanish, travelling or enjoying their spare time as they want. During the programme, the host family will cover meals and accommodation expenses.
This programme is aimed at native English speakers. You do not need to have teaching experience. The programmes provide you with the opportunity to gain experience while receiving valuable additional training and a grant that will allow you to cover your living expenses.
The programmes include training (a 6 ECTS credits online course towards TEFL or CLIL accreditation) and teaching practice (as a Language Assistant).
Provide 20 hours per week of teaching in a school environment (private or semi-private schools through-out Spain)
You will live with a host family and receive a grant of 300 Euros/month to cover incidental expenses. The programmes start in September and end in May of each year.
