Hi Marilyn,

I want to thank you and your team again for helping me in the process of moving to the UK. I’ve only been here a few weeks and it’s already been nothing but a dream.

Like any job in Canada, I get two days off a week so I’m able to use them to go explore since everything is reachable by bus or train. On my second week, I was already able to take the bus and train to go visit York with Holly (who you’ve also sent here). We stayed the night, had food and a few drinks, went on a boat ride at sunset and visited a few historical sites. It was extremely cheap to stay the night, move around, visit and eat. We still had money left over to shop while we were there.

On top of that, I get 28 paid vacation days so I’m already planning a trip to France before Christmas, to Ireland hopefully in March and to Greece at the end of my year. I’m hoping to fit Italy at some point as well. Because I don’t have to worry about food, rent and my car, and because everything is so cheap, I can afford all these vacations.

Moving abroad is the most liberating thing I have ever done. Visiting a country is great but living in a different culture is mind blowing. I’m never bored.

I am definitely doing this again next year. I have recommended you to a few people already and will keep doing so. I think everyone should do something like this at least once in their lifetime.
